Tap Zoo: Unlimited Stars, Tokens, and Coins Hack

Thanks to R for taking the time to share this!

I strongly suggest to anyone that attempts these steps to backup the original file before editing each and every time. For those who do not understand the concept of back-up, save the original unedited file somewhere so if anything fails, you have the original file to use still.

Unlike Tap Paradise Cove, Tap Zoo uses hashes, so please follow the instructions carefully and I’d suggest you to copy and paste the hashes inside the quotation marks.

The first few steps towards the hack are all the same:

  1. Open iFunbox and find Tap Zoo in your iPod user applications section.
  2. Open “Library”
  3. Open “Application Support”
  4. Open “Database”
  5. Locate the “gameState.db” file. Copy this to your desktop
  6. Reminding you once again to back up your file before making changes.
  7. Open the “gameState.db” file using SQLite Database Browser.

To Obtain Stars

  1. In SQLite, click on the “Browse Data” tab
  2. Using the dropdown menu beside “Table”, select “users”
  3. Scroll right until you see the column labelled “gold”. Double click, and change the number to “19999”
  4. Next, scroll right until you see the column labelled “goldHash”. Double click, and change the characters to “tNfFymoqZCGw”
    tap1
  5. Save and close the SQLite, and replace the original “gameState.db” file in iFunbox. Open your Tap Zoo app and you should now have 19,999 stars. If you run out of stars, just repeat the steps again. Unfortunately, I have not managed to obtain the hashes for larger amounts of stars, but 19,999 stars should last you a while before you need to reload.
    tap2

To Obtain Wildlife Tokens

  1. In SQLite, click on the “Browse Data” tab
  2. Using the dropdown menu beside “Table”, select “users”
  3. Scroll right until you see the column labelled “wildlifePoints”. Double click, and change the figure to anything under 999. Make sure you write in “wildlife” after your numbers.
    tap3
  4. There are no hashes for wildlife tokens surprisingly. But it has happened to be a few times that the changed wildlife tokens did not register/save. If this is the case, just redo these steps. It should work.
  5. Save and close the SQLite, and replace the original “gameState.db” file in iFunbox. Open your Tap Zoo app and you should now have x amount of wildlife tokens. If you run out, just repeat the steps again.

To Obtain Coins

  1. In SQLite, click on the “Browse Data” tab
  2. Using the dropdown menu beside “Table”, select “zoos”
  3. Here depending on how far you’ve progressed into the game, you should see zoo’s 0, 1, or 2
    0 = your main zoo
    1 = the desert zoo
    2 = the Arctic/Christmas zoo
  4. For Zoo 0: Under the column labelled “coins”. Double click, and change the figure to “2147483647”.
  5. Under the column labelled “coinsHash”. Double click, and change the characters to “P48LRUTRh7LV”.
    tap4
  6. Save and close the SQLite, and replace the original “gameState.db” file in iFunbox. Open your Tap Zoo app and you should now have 2147483647 coins for Zoo 0. This is the max number of coins you can have in tap zoo (something to do with binary digits and not being able to account for anymore), so if you run out, repeat the steps.
  7. The hashes for the different Zoos are different. I have not yet found the max hashes for the other zoos, but the following codes will work:
    Zoo 1 update: coins “2147483647″ hash “aCYpyKjKH/+n”
    Zoo 2 update: coins “435979″ hash “JaKCNSa53Qm6″
    Zoo 3 update: coins “178175″ hash “ZRV3iiN97vrS”
  8. The hack for rubies is:  “11397 rubies” has “mFSk5wosmHlZ”
