Mass Effect 3: Regular vs. Premium Spectre Pack UPDATE 2

Just to give everyone an update on my Ultra Rare status – at this point, I’ve spent over 9,000,000 credits on SP’s an PSP’s.

My Ultra Rare drop rate for the SP has been 1.84% vs. the PSP at 2.17%.  So, while the PSP does indeed have a “higher chance” at dropping an UR, it’s not nearly as cost effective as the SP.

I’ve spent the same amount of credits on SP’s as PSP’s and have gotten 7 UR’s from the SP and only 5 from the PSP.  So, on a per credit basis, the regular Spectre Pack is better – essentially, each UR in a SP has cost me 651,429 credits and each UR in a PSP has cost me 910,800 credits!

On the bright side, I finally got an N7 Hurricane out of this latest Commendation Pack from Operation VIGILANCE!  Now I officially have every weapon in the game :)

Have you gotten anything good lately in your Spectre Packs?  Let me know in the comments!

  1. So with DLC quite possibly on the horizon, what do you think the best course of action for maximizing URs would be in a bulk buy spending spree?

PSPs until all new gold cards maxed and then switch regular SPs, or … ?
